10/31/21 - Our Twentieth Anniversary of Life on the Road

What a great adventure we’ve had over the past twenty years!  From a dream of stopping work early enough that we'd be able to enjoy travel, to the reality of actually having been able to do it for all this time and over all these miles.  How lucky we are.

The photo on the left shows us at Yosemite National Park, California on November 3, 2001, shortly after we had hopped on our motorcycle and ridden off to begin this life of travel we had imagined for ourselves.  What was ahead we couldn't know.  All that mattered was that we were off to see the world together, and that is what matters still.

The photo on the right is from Fall Creek Falls State Park, Tennessee in late October, 2021.  Older if not wiser, bigger if not better, greyer to be sure, but still together, still grinning happily and still enjoying our wonderful life together on the road.

Between these two photos lie 435,000 miles, or nearly 700,000 kms of travel in the four motor homes that have been our magic carpets carrying us along on our journeys.  And, as you can see from the map on the side of our Tiger, following our dreams has ended up taking us to 65 countries on 6 continents, all in our own motor home with the sole exception of New Zealand, which we toured in a rental van while our Tiger was at sea on his way to Australia.  We’ve shipped the Tiger seven times and he has literally gone around the world.

The friends we’ve made on our travels can be found around the world and the memories we have of them and of all the other wonderful sights and experiences we’ve shared will fill our hearts for the rest of our lives.

We can’t even begin to summarize those memories for you in this space, but they are available to you in the many pages of this website.

On the home page you will find sumaries of our travels with links to all the regions we’ve visited.  Or you can go to the drop down menus at the top of every page and allow your imagination to be                                                                                       your guide as you begin to plan your own travels.

We hope you'll find time to do this as we’ve always published this website with our personal motto firmly in mind:

Explore    Experience    Learn    Share    Encourage
